Privacy Policy

Apps in Oman ("we") is a directory website. We collect as little personal data as possible and never sell it. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Information you submit in forms — the newsletter signup, app submissions, the "building an app" form, and issue reports. This includes the email address and any details you choose to provide.
- Basic, privacy-friendly analytics — aggregate page-view statistics with no cookies and no cross-site tracking. We cannot identify you from this.
- We do not use tracking cookies, and there are no user accounts in this version of the site.
How your data is handled
Form submissions are processed by our hosting provider (Netlify) and delivered to us by email. We use them only to respond to you, review submissions, and — if you opt in — send the newsletter. A small flag is stored in your browser's local storage to remember that you've dismissed the newsletter popup; it never leaves your device.
Third parties
To run the site we rely on: Netlify (hosting and form handling), Google Fonts (typography), and app-store/website sources used to display public app icons and information. We do not share your personal data with advertisers.
Your rights
Consistent with Oman's Personal Data Protection Law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data you've given us, and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. To make a request, email oamrwfikra@gmail.com.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change, and revise the date above.
This policy is provided in good faith as a clear starting point. For a production launch collecting personal data in Oman, have it reviewed against the Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree 6/2022) and its executive regulations.
